Philippines. Friday afternoon in the Philippines, typhoon Rei hit the village with winds over 100 mph. Many of the believers, and possibly several people who live nearby, took refuge at the church building. We can’t imagine their emotions as they saw trees falling around them and probably wondering about their own homes. When they finally did go home, there appears to be not much left. Many, if not all the homes in the village were damaged, if not destroyed. As of this time, our news is primarily from pictures we have seen of the damage around the village.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="600" height="485"
