\"Agutaynen<\/a><\/p>\n

Just this last week, the Agutaynen village we live in had a festival. This is a fun time for us and for the entire village. For three days, the village celebrated their “Foundation Day” by playing basketball and volleyball. The men enjoyed themselves with cockfights and playing cards. On the last day, the village killed four pigs and we all had a feast.
<\/strong>
There were several games for the kids. \"Coconut<\/a> One game involved a very dirty coconut, hung by a rope, with several coins wedged into its husk. The kids who didn’t mind getting dirty, took turns trying to get the coins out…using only their teeth. Many of them walked away with nothing but a dirty face. <\/p>\n

Our Agutaynen team likes to have fun, too. This year we purchased a piglet to give away. We gathered all the first graders around and whoever caught the piglet got to take it home. Of course, that’s too easy. So we smothered the piglet in grease…maybe a little too much grease. After several tries, the girl in the picture finally captured her prize.  This piglet only cost our team $20, but will be a huge blessing for this family.  Someday, they can either use it for meat to feed their family, or they will be able to sell it for a greater price than we paid.
