Greetings from Michigan! Yes, we arrived back safely on Wednesday night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even though we have only been away for five months, we have already been hit with some culture shocks and few blessings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Culture Shock #1:\u00a0 The price of three sandwiches and three drinks in Los Angeles airport!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Culture Shock #2:\u00a0 The cold weather.\u00a0 To leave the Philippines at 91 degrees and to arrive into Michigan at 17 degrees!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Culture Shock #3:\u00a0 Going to the grocery store with a mission to only purchase two AAA batteries.\u00a0 Yes, do they sell just two batteries?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 You have to purchase six, eight, or twelve.\u00a0 But all I want is two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Culture Shock #4:\u00a0 You know that the store has dried cranberries, but what aisle is it in?\u00a0 I think we accomplished our daily steps in walking every aisle trying to find cranberries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blessings #1: God\u2019s provision of a beautiful home and vehicle, provided by our sending church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blessings #2: To have hamburger meat with no surprises. Over the last few months, once or twice a week, Ginger has picked through the raw hamburger meat before cooking it, removing mysteries including fat, cartilage, and plastic. Yes, I have an amazing wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Blessings #3: To be with Ginger\u2019s family. This is the reason for our early return, and we hope to be a blessing to her mom and dad during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
