Do you feel short or as some call it, vertically challenged?\u00a0 To overcome this challenge, some ladies might wear heels to gain an extra inch or two or three.\u00a0 If you feel vertically challenged, we have a suggestion; that is, come to the Philippines!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The last few weeks in the village, we went to 60+ homes to visit people, give them some items from our house, Gospel tracts, and to say good-bye.\u00a0 We have lived so long with these people, many of them didn’t expect that we would ever say good-bye. These were good visits, many with tears, many with precious memories.<\/p>\n\n\n

One of the hardest visits was with our landlady of 22 years.  Upon our move into the village in 2003, she opened her home to us, rent free for the first two years.<\/p>\n\n\n

In 2009, when we presented the evangelistic teaching, Creation to Christ in the Agutaynen language, she often sat on the front row. <\/p>\n\n\n

Over the years, many of her family members trusted in Jesus alone, but very sadly, she never did.  Ginger talked with her several times over the last few months, saying that we were leaving soon but that we would like to see her in heaven someday.  Stephen\u2019s last words to her were, \u201cTrust in Jesus.\u201d  Still to this day her loyalty is to someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n

. . . Oh yeah, vertically challenged.\u00a0 During these visits around the village, we were reminded of how tall we are at about 5\u2019-4\u201d!\u00a0 Even when leaning, we are still taller than some of the Filipinos.<\/p>\n\n\n

Please continue to pray with us for these friends and neighbors, that they will turn to Jesus alone as their personal Savior.
