Unknown to us and before our departure from the Philippines, the believers of Faith Bible Church were planning a special event for the teens and young adults . . . a group that has a very special place in our hearts . . . more on that later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This special event, \u201c4th<\/sup> Get Together in Christ,\u201d was 100% their idea.  The believers planned, prepared, and hosted this event on their own.  The theme was \u201cLooking to Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The fourth event of something would probably imply that there was a first event, followed by a second event, followed by a third event, and then a fourth event.\u00a0 Well, the first event was in 2022 and this year was the fourth event.\u00a0 Why no second and third?\u00a0 That is a good question, thank you for asking.\u00a0 The answer, we don\u2019t know. \u00a0But the first event occurred during our time in the States, and likewise, the fourth event occurred during our time in the States.\u00a0 All that to say, this event was their thing, and we are excited to see them do this!<\/p>\n\n\n

Back to the comment above, why does this group of teens and young adults have a special place in our hearts?\u00a0 In their own words, several mentioned that Ginger was their spiritual mom.\u00a0 Many of these believers were born during our time in the Philippines and their own physical parents still haven\u2019t trusted in Jesus as they have done.\u00a0 So, there is a special relationship Ginger has with these young ladies.\u00a0 On the other hand, no one mentioned Stephen as their spiritual dad, but they did mention his jokes, light-heartedness, and no need for a microphone.\u00a0 If nothing else they will remember Stephen\u2019s zeal for proclaiming the truth . . . and now they are proclaiming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please pray with us for these believers . . . may they keep their eyes on Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n
