We have been thinking that it was time to empty out some of these boxes, but didn’t know the best way to do this. Somehow, a garage sale didn’t seem feasible. After talking with some of our Agutaynen friends and trying to find the best way to distribute the clothes the most evenly, we came up with a plan. We sorted all the clothes into outfits, and put each outfit into a separate bag, with the size and gender labeled on the outside. Then we set a date, and planned to give them away. That was in May. A typhoon came and rained out that day. So, while our partners were here, we set another day. By this time, it was much-anticipated in the village! Since we didn’t know how many people would come, we decided to limit it to one bag\/outfit per child. Everything went very smoothly, thanks to the help of the Stroud-Lusks, and the Agutaynen ladies who were “in charge”. We ended up giving out over 100 bags of clothes! The crazy thing is, we still have a lot left. It looks like this may become an annual tradition, as long as our children keep growing!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
What do you do when your children grow out of their clothes?
