&nbsp;The patient is usually given socks to wear along with their hospital gown.&nbsp; They may bring a sweater or jacket that they can drape over themselves, but that does little to keep them warm.&nbsp; We would like to give a small blanket to each patient we visit, something that they could comfortably use while sitting in a chair or in their bed, yet not too bulky that it is difficult to bring home.&nbsp; So, we are keeping an eye out on sales locally.&nbsp; And if any of you who enjoy quilting would like to, we would welcome your donations of small, lightweight lap blankets.&nbsp; What a joy that will be to be able to give to those who are in the hospital!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for praying with us.&nbsp; We have heard from so many residents here that we are having an impact, that we are needed, and that we have been an encouragement to them.&nbsp; Praise the Lord!&nbsp; It is our joy to serve Him here by serving these servants of His.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Occasionally, we will be greeted by someone in the morning by, \u201cIs anyone in the hospital?\u201d&nbsp; Or, \u201cWas there an ambulance here last night?\u201d&nbsp; Whatever happened to \u201cGood morning!\u201d?
