Praise the Lord! That’s the first thing I wanted to say when I saw this website today.
If any of you tried to access this site in the last 2 or 3 days, you either couldn’t get through, or got a message that my account had been suspended. This is because my hosting account had been (I bet you can’t guess) suspended.
I had an old version of wordpress on one of my sites on the server, and to make a long story short, it got hacked. Someone used a security exploit to send out (at least) tens of thousands of phishing E-mails from my server. I know it was at least that many because that is how many have bounced back (aka invalid E-mail address) so far.
As you might have guessed, this put me in hot water, because I am responsible for the security of my files on the server. Luckily, the administrator had only temporarily suspended the account, and allowed me access in order to delete EVERYTHING. So I deleted everything, and now I am in the process of putting the websites back together again.
So the very fact that I am posting this and you are reading it means that by God’s grace I have rescued this site from the jaws of annihilation. My next project is to catch up on a few of Rachel’s pictures.
