See? I told you I’d finish these updates in a timely fashion! Well, I didn’t really say that, but it was implied. Anyways, on to the updates. This post is about what has been keeping Rachel and I busy lately.
One thing that has been really cool is that the Bible study we’ve been attending is now meeting in our house. It has been fun to be able to host the group, and give back to the people who have given so much to us lately. As official leaders in the group, Rachel and I have had the opportunity to really get involved in a ministry which has already visibly touched a life or two. It’s been an awesome opportunity.
We also had the privilege of having Rachel’s parents visit us for a week. They stayed with my parents, and Rachel picked them up every morning for another day together. Rachel was able to coordinate the time so that she was off of work for the entire time that her parents were here (Even though that meant taking her parents to the Denver Airport (an hour and a half north of here) and getting back by 9am for work). We did some sightseeing, hung out, and Rachel’s mom helped her make curtains for the living room and dining room!
On that note, we’ve been slowly collecting furniture of our very own, to replace the stuff we’re borrowing from our landlords. Granted, most of it came from CraigsList, Goodwill and garage sales, but hey, it’s ours. We even managed to nab a free couch. All it needs is a little fabreeze. 🙁
Web design has definitely not been at the top of my priority list lately. I have been busy playing with my new little technological toy that Benjamin sold me. I am now the proud owner of a PDA phone. It’s amazing having an actual computer on your phone (although it’s more like having a phone on your computer). The coolest feature? A universal remote control… on my phone. Oh yeah.
We’ve been looking for opportunities to get more involved with our church, but we are also content with our current involvement. I help run sound and put words up on the screen, and Rachel runs childrens church every other week.
And that pretty much sums up our lives outside of work. We’re both enjoying our jobs as much as one can enjoy such things, and God has definitely been providing for all of our needs. We have been greatly blessed over the last year, and we’re sure that God will continue to provide for us and guide us in His will for many years to come. Thanks to all of you who keep us in your prayers.
