Well, our nomadic summer is finally drawing to a close. I am writing this from the house Rachel grew up in, in Wyoming, Michigan. In two more weeks (on the 13th) we’ll be moving to Jackson to get settled before registration starts the following Saturday.
The summer has been quite exciting, and more difficult than either of us had imagined. Asa has had 2 ear infections, and his sleep schedule has been hit and miss. It was fun being back at camp in the environment we love, but difficult to care for Asa in the midst of the non-stop camp schedule.
The most exciting part of the summer by far was to learn that Asa is going to be a big brother! As is normal when expecting a child, we are both excited and scared about what is in store for us. Please pray that we will learn to lean fully on God and be able to experience His peace (we know in our heads that His grace is sufficient, but head knowledge doesn’t always bring about peace).
We would also appreciate prayer for wisdom with our financial situation. We want to be doing what God wants us to, and trusting in His generosity, but we also want to be good stewards of the time He’s given us. I especially will need wisdom in how to balance my time between my wife, kids, school and work.
Thank you all for praying for us and for your emotional support. We will need your kind words and prayers if we’re to make it to our goal of bringing the Gospel and Holy Scriptures to an unreached people group.
