Siar encouragement

September 29, 2011 by Stephen and Rachel Narwold

As I’m typing this, missionaries in Papua New Guinea are teaching the lesson on Christ’s resurrection and giving the complete gospel message for the first time, in a language in which it has never before been heard. It’s unbelievably exciting to me, and probably God as well. The president here at NTBI mentioned that this might be the most important event on the planet right now in God’s eyes… make that the universe. You can read a little more about it at the NTM News site.

It is so amazing to have the communication technology to be able to hear such detailed up-to-date information from so many different missionaries in various places and various stages of ministry. In the past two weeks we have heard from people in the Language Acquisition phase in a city, the culture-learning phase in a tribe, the teaching phase, the gospel presentation… We have so many great examples to follow. That’s the coolest part: that we get to follow in their footsteps, taking the gospel to yet another unreached people group! It’s just an incredible thing to be a part of.

Just wanted to shoot this out while the story is fresh. If you read this soon (It’s 8:10pm Michigan time), please pray with me for the Siar people as they’re receiving the Gospel.
