The big news from the Narwold Boys in February was sports!
Meeting Gabe
First, we got to meet Gabriel Davis!
Gabriel Davis plays football for the Buffalo Bills and grew up right here in Sanford. He was in town to receive the key to the city from the mayor and generally be recognized for his record 4 TD catches in a single playoff game.
Since city commission meetings are open to the public, we got to be there to watch it, and Gabriel stayed behind to sign autographs and take pictures with the fans who waited for him. It was pretty exciting for us, especially our redhead whose favorite team is the Bills.
We even got to be in the newspaper and on the news! See if you can find us:
Magic Show
Two weeks after meeting Gabriel Davis, we got to go to an NBA game and watch the Orlando Magic beat the Houston Rockets. Both of the boys were playing basketball this year, and wanted to watch a pro game. We found out that we could get $13 tickets to a Magic game and so it became something that both of them could earn with their chore money. They were so proud to be able to buy their own tickets! We brought my dad and a coworker and his son along with us.
Another highlight of the night was taking the train to and from the game (hey, no parking!). They even had a promotion going allowing ticket holders to ride the train for free! It was quite the memory-making experience, and we were glad for the opportunity.
