Thanks so much for partnering with us and playing a key role in our ministries. We served over a period of 30 years in Papua New Guinea, and in many ways our hearts are still there, but for now the Lord has us here in the States while we help our boys get established and we are content with that. Our plan is to continue to work with the Communications Department, of New Tribes Mission until the boys are living independently from us, at which time we plan to return to PNG.
As photo editor for New Tribes Mission’s website (www.ntm.org), Steve is part of the New Tribes Mission Communications Team, reporting on what the Lord is doing through NTM in tribes around the world. His responsibilities include finding and editing the photos used to illustrate the news articles that are posted every weekday. The photos are not only used on the US website, but also on the NTM websites for Canada, Australia, Germany, Faeroe Islands, Netherlands, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, as well as a Spanish language website.
Thumbnail versions of the photos are included in the daily prayer bulletin that is e-mailed to over 2,600 subscribers. We get thousands of unique visitors to the website every day. Those who pray for the people mentioned in the articles and prayer requests are playing an important part in reaching tribal people with the gospel, and in the ongoing ministries of discipleship, translation and church planting.
Steve is also involved in several ministries with our home church Salem First Baptist. He teaches on a rotation basis with several other members of our Sunday School class. He’s a member of the Video Arts Team, videotaping special events at the church, and helps out with grounds maintenance on a quarterly basis. Thank-you for making it possible for us to serve the Lord in these ways.
