Gay’s Future Ministry at the MK School – Dec 2010

Several months ago the Papua New Guinea branch of New Tribes Mission asked me to return to a full time position in the office which handles matters  for all of the missionaries and departments of New Tribes Mission in PNG.  We figured that Gay would either assist me, or work at our school for missionary children (NCA), but did not have anything specific lined up.

We recently received another email asking Gay to teach 7th and 8th grade English as well as the typing/keyboarding class at NCA, which she has happily agreed to do for the 2011-2012 school year. (We have since delayed our departure until the end of December 2011)

Along with the request for Gay to teach, we learned that teachers are needed for many of the other classes.  Please be praying with us that the Lord will raise up additional teachers who will be willing to move to Papua New Guinea to teach these classes.

For the first time in the history of New Tribes Mission, started in 1942, an overseas MK school received accredit-tation (2010) from a recognized USA accrediting agency, WASC, and one year later that same school is in danger of not being able to run a secondary program.  This school supports close to 56 missionary families, 6 of which are in very remote tribal locations.  Does God really not have anyone to send or is it that no one is willing to go?
