We are excited about what the Lord is doing through New Tribes Mission in Papua New Guinea.  Missionaries are working in forty different tribes.  Nine of these tribes first heard the gospel from 1975 to 1999.  Twenty-four of these tribes heard the gospel from 2001 through 2011, and one more tribe is due to hear it later this year for a total of 25 tribes in 11 years.  Missionaries have moved into the other 6 tribes more recently, and are working on learning their culture and language.  They plan to begin teaching sometime between 2012 and 2015.

The support team at the mission center must be functioning well so that the missionaries in the tribal locations may focus on their ministries there.  Steve will be returning as manager of the accounts office and human resources, and Gay will be returning to the Numonohi Christian Academy as a teacher and secretary.

For us to be able to function effectively in Papua New Guinea, we need to have more people praying for us, and we need to raise our monthly support. We are looking for individuals and churches who want to join us in working together so that tribal people we be able to hear the good news that they can have a relationship with our Creator through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.   We are asking the Lord to open the doors for us to be able to share what God is doing through New Tribes Missionaries to reach tribal people in Papua New Guinea, and how our ministries fit into that process.  If you would like to know how you can be praying for us, or offer any other type of help, please give us a call (503-508-0715); or contact us by email:  Steve_Lawrence@ntm.org  Thank-you!
