Our home church in Oregon had sent a short-term missions team to Rwanda in 2008, and we were going on a follow-up trip to assist in the ongoing ministry of Emmanuel Sitaki, whom the Lord is using to minister to widows and orphans, and also provide teaching for church leaders.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--> We had the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See how the widows were doing with their sewing business, provide them with additional help and help them open a shop in the capital city.<\/li>\n<li>Begin construction of a new workshop for training young men in the carpentry trade.<\/li>\n<li>Talk with Rwandan pastors about the Chronological Bible Lessons and make contact with a translator to translate the Bible Lessons into Kinyarwanda, the national language of Rwanda.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15\" style=\"width: 90px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/steve-lawrence\/files\/2011\/07\/Rwanda_2009-09-28_0673__Lawrence-1.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-15 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/steve-lawrence\/files\/2011\/07\/Rwanda_2009-09-28_0673__Lawrence-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Discussing the new workshop specifications.\" width=\"90\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-15\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Discussing the new workshop specifications.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I&#8217;m thankful for the opportunity to go to Rwanda and see things for myself.
