The Communications team helps missionaries convey the purpose and vision of NTM, and challenges people to get more involved in what God is doing in tribes around the world. It’s thrilling to see people get excited about what God is doing in various tribes around the world.

I have two areas of responsibility. Every day I find, edit and upload photos for the articles that are posted on the New Tribes Mission website. These photos are also used in the NTM daily prayer bulletin. If you would like to subscribe to the daily prayer bulletin, or if you’d just like to check out my work you can do that at www.ntm.org.

My other responsibility is to organize and catalog the thousands of pictures in the NTM Photo collection, most of them taken by our own missionaries. Besides the web-site, the photos are used in all of the mission publications and also in PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate what God is doing in tribes a round the world. It is essential to have these photos catalogued so that when photos are needed for a particular story, you can locate them easily and in a timely manner. I am thankful for this ministry, which I can do here in Salem, and which also keeps us in touch with what the Lord is doing in Papua New Guinea, and around the world.

In addition to working with NTM Communications, I am contacting local pastors, and sharing with them the Chronological method of Evangelism and Discipleship. Many PNG people are coming to know the Lord when they are taught the Bible in this way. We are praying that the Lord will put raise up people to teach the Bible chronologically here in Salem.

Gay continues to work for the Salem Keizer School District’s online school. We praise the Lord for this job, which helps us to meet additional expenses we have while we are living in the States. The medical benefits were particularly helpful a couple months ago, when Steve had to have his gall bladder removed. Pray for Gay as she represents Christ at her workplace.

Currently our three boys are living with us. We want to see all 3 boys moved out, and living on their own for 3-6 months before we return to PNG. We’d also like to see them involved in a church, with a good network of Christian friends. Pray that the Lord will give us wisdom and insight as we mentor them into this next phase of their lives.

Nate is working on the Numonohi Alumni website, and looking to the Lord as to what He would have him to do next.

Josh plans to move back to Kansas City Missouri in June. He is planning on taking a recording studio engineer course, and wants to get involved in things there near his college friends.

Tim has been attending our Chemeketa Community College, to become a paramedic, and will be going to Missouri the second week of April for further training. He plans to return to Salem in November.

Thank-you so much for your friendship, for your financial gifts, and for praying for us. We appreciate you very much.

Steve and Gay
NTM Photos
Communications Department

[423
7023,7015,7025,7022
post-7","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","category-news-article","tag-family","tag-ministry","tag-ntm-photos","tag-prayer-requests","entry
["GET
