When you read your Bible, you probably regularly come across words like “grace,” “love,” “God,” etc. But have you ever found a verse talking about nachos? Because when we translate the Bible into the language of My People, I think that it will talk about nachos!<\/p>\n

Yes, “nacho” is one of the new words that I’ve learned. It means “cows.” For those of you who know your Bible well, I bet you can think of at least a few verses and stories that talk about “cows.” And just think – even though we’re learning My Language more slowly than we would have liked, we’re already finding words that will be needed for translating the Bible into their language! “Man,” “woman,” “girl,” “boy,” “donkey,” “horse,” “cows,” “house,” “bed,” “stand up,” “sit down,” “go,” “head,” “eye,” etc. (If you want good Sunday school homework, try to find at least one verse with each of those words in it.)<\/p>\n

Gee, I wish I knew how many different words there were going to be in the Bible in My Language so that I could see the progress we’re making! But at least I know that we’re getting somewhere. And pray that we’ll be able to keep going (and even pick up the pace!), so that the day will come quickly when we’ll be able to start translating the powerful Word of God into their language, so that they can know for themselves what God has to say to us!<\/p>\n
