{"id":111,"date":"2012-01-24T19:03:01","date_gmt":"2012-01-25T00:03:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/?p=111"},"modified":"2026-06-29T19:41:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T00:41:41","slug":"we-are-living-in-exciting-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/2012\/01\/24\/we-are-living-in-exciting-days\/","title":{"rendered":"We are living in exciting days!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/files\/2012\/02\/North-Wahgi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-112\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/files\/2012\/02\/North-Wahgi-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/files\/2012\/02\/North-Wahgi-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/susie-l\/files\/2012\/02\/North-Wahgi.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>It&#8217;s easy to read the Bible and see the mighty ways that God acted in the past and think, &#8220;Yeah, that&#8217;s what he <em>used<\/em> to do.&#8221;\u00a0 It&#8217;s true.\u00a0 That is how God worked in the past.\u00a0 But what we often forget is that God is still working today, and He&#8217;s doing amazing things!<\/p>\n<p>Look at these statistics that I read this week (Ok, so I&#8217;m a numbers person.\u00a0 But even if you aren&#8217;t, I think that the hand of God in modern history is still pretty stunning here.):<\/p>\n<p>Percentage of the world&#8217;s population that calls themselves Christian:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>0.1% in 100 AD<\/li>\n<li>1% in 1500 AD<\/li>\n<li>4% in 1900 AD<\/li>\n<li>9% in 1980 AD<\/li>\n<li>15% in 1992 AD<\/li>\n<li>33% in 2005 AD<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(Source: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">All That You Can&#8217;t Leave Behind<\/span>, by Ryan J.
