Living overseas as a missionary, you\u2019d think that I\u2019d get used to change, since things are always changing. But honestly, I still don\u2019t like it. However, there are quite a few good changes that have happened lately or are in the works to happen soon. Here are just a few:<\/p>\n

My People have a new chief over all this people group! I was able to go to their main village for his \u201cinauguration\u201d on Sunday. It was quite a shindig! (See his picture above, and make sure to appreciate his $2000 \u201cthrone!\u201d)<\/p>\n

My Village is starting to feel more like home! My host mom now knows that I don\u2019t like coffee and that I like my shower water warm and not boiling hot. I\u2019m also getting more used to the food, and don\u2019t gag over every bite. I can even compare it positively to some other foods!<\/p>\n

NTM USA changed its name! It\u2019s now called Ethnos360 \u2013 Ethnos for the different people groups of the world, and 360 referring to all 360 degrees of the world. Even though the name changed, the goal is still the same: planting churches among unreached people groups of the world.<\/p>\n

We have new teammates on the way! The Pryor family is currently on their way out to My Country to join us in reaching Our People with the gospel! Hopefully they will be arriving here in the city this afternoon, and they\u2019ll spend a year in the city to learn the Jula language before joining us in Our Village.<\/p>\n

We (Jen and I) will hopefully be moving out to My Village soon! No, our houses aren\u2019t done yet, but you can see the latest on my house in the below picture. Hopefully in a month or so? I\u2019ll keep you posted!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s now rainy season! Some days are still quite hot, but at least there are beautiful days like yesterday that are a bit overcast and rainy and “cooler.” Who knew that I\u2019d grow to love overcast, rainy days, huh?<\/p>\n

Well, I think those are the main big changes. Other than that, the only other big news is that I had a great time in Tanzania for the discourse analysis training earlier this month. I also got to take a few days to enjoy the country \u2013 friends there, the wild animals of a safari, and the beach (and snorkeling!) on the island of Zanzibar.<\/p>\n
