One of my favorite phrases came while looking at the same picture as we saw in the last post, which I posted above.  Here, what is the chicken doing?  &#8220;The chicken is following the farmer.  The chicken is looking at the worms. The chicken wants to eat the worms.&#8221;  That&#8217;s some of what I learned to say while looking at this picture.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But then, as we were talking about following, my language helper gave me the following dialogue, thinking about the chicken and the farmer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Where are you going?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am following you. Where you go, that&#8217;s where I&#8217;m going.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when I figured out what it meant, I don&#8217;t think that he understood why I was so excited.  Does that sound like any verse you know?  How about part of Ruth 1:16: \u201cWhere you go I will go.\u201d\u00a0 And all of a sudden I had a first draft of my first verse of the Bible in My Language!\u00a0 Isn\u2019t that exciting?\u00a0 I know that I\u2019ll have to understand the intricacies of the verb tense and all sorts of little words that are in there, but at least it\u2019s a start.\u00a0 Praise the Lord with me!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One fun challenge as I&#8217;ve been learning more of My Language this last month has been to try to catch words and phrases that we&#8217;ll eventually need for translation.
