And you know that that means it\u2019s school supply buying time, too. For the kids here who are sponsored through Compassion International, today was school supply day. Their parents came and picked up a backpack full of their needed school supplies for each sponsored child. (Sorry that the picture isn\u2019t very good. I took it with my phone.) I got to help with the distribution of the backpacks. Part of my job was having the parents sign by their child\u2019s name to show that they had picked up the backpack. I was amazed to see that probably \u00bd, if not more, of the parents who had to sign my paper couldn\u2019t even sign their name. Some didn\u2019t even look comfortable holding a pen. I saw lots of \u201cx\u201ds and circles and squiggles and a few names and a few signatures. It made me realize again how through sponsors like you through Compassion International and other believers who work here to make it work, these children are going to have a different life than their parents had and than they\u2019d be able to have otherwise.
