For those of you following my Facebook posts, you’ll know that contrary to my plans, I didn’t make it home to My Country when I was planning. The Air France strike caused my flights to get canceled twice, so I ended up leaving Chicago O’Hare last Thursday, which was the day before it was shut down because of a fire at a nearby air traffic control place. Like when I went back to that home in the US in July, in a lot of ways it feels so normal that it feels like I’ve never left, or at least not left for very long. And my house is in better condition than I was expecting – some things are moldy, but slowly but surely those are becoming less numerous. Since I got a new thermometer while I was in the US that has a humidity gauge on it (if you’ll remember, my old thermometer broke when I put it out in the sun in March), I see why things got moldy. Right now it’s only about 80% humid in my house. It’s better than this morning when it was 95%!

It’s also been good to jump back into life here and get to catch up with my friends. I’ve also jumped back into People Group Assessment research and am making headway. Thanks for your prayers!

I made it!
