I just came across some statistics from a talk I heard a year or two ago by a Burkinabe missionary:
* In Burkina Faso, only 20% of the people are Christian of any denomination.
* Burkina Faso is in the 10/40 window.
* There are 84 different ethnic groups in Burkina Faso. There is a church among only 14 of them, meaning that 70 are unreached. 44 of these 70 are in western Burkina Faso (including my people group).
* There are 4000 villages in Burkina Faso without an evangelical church. And this is a bigger deal than having a town in the US without a church, since very few have cars and in the villages only some even have motorcycles to be able to head over to a neighboring village.
God, please raise up laborers and send them to Burkina Faso!
