Chaos. Peace. How can both of these things exist simultaneously in my life? However, my life in these last few days before I depart for Papua New Guinea has a high degree of both.
Chaos because my room in my parents’ house has clusters of leftover knick-knacks, miscellaneous articles of clothing, books, and papers through which to sort. Chaos because I am overjoyed one moment and nervous the next. Chaos because my mind is attempting to think about and remember fifty things at once.
Yet, peace because I believe God, the Divine Arranger, has placed me here. Peace because I know that He is with me wherever I am. Peace because I am trusting His plan for me.
I have two days before my flight departs for Papua New Guinea. Sometimes, the chaos threatens to swallow me in its dark waters, but under my feet is the sure footing of God’s peace. I am grateful that at the end of the day God’s peace guards my heart and mind, and I can rest in Him.
Please pray that I will continue trusting and resting in God in the midst of this turbulent time of transitions.
