Pray that the June rains won’t delay the baggage carriers, as they have walk several hours inland from the river-crossing by dugout canoe. Lesley is continuing the Glaro Bible translation in their original village, and will travel across to see Aaron & Amy once a month or so.

Verne & Denny have moved back into the Palaka village for the summer. Verne is helping the believers with church-wide crops and live-stock during these “famine” months. Denny is trying to finish the translation of Matthew 1-14 for a consultant to check by mid-June.

Paul & Marina are excited to see the Loron church having Bible teaching programs going for about 150 children – teaching them through the Bible chronologically.

I am preparing orientation sessions, and a devotional guide, for the 18 people from the Broadway Baptist Church that will be accompanying me to Haiti next month (on two separate trips.) We will be repairing a Baptist Haiti Mission building that collapsed in the earthquake, as well as building new homes for Haitian victims. I also want to connect with Haitian translation checkers, to continue the French Bible curriculum for the 300 BHM Christian schools there.

Martha will be “holding the ropes” here at home, caring for her mom (86) who can no longer be left by herself for any length of time.
