I’m home alone!<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Martha flew out to California, to visit our oldest son Aaron, Av\u00e9, and our three grandchildren (ages 5, 3 & just-turned 2). And I’m at home working on the Haiti Bible lessons for grade one.\u00a0We are a bit behind schedule right now on these lessons, since working on a translation from long distance really does slow down the process. We are trying to express Bible truths in simple French, for \u00a06-year-olds who speak only Creole at home, making this editing process very challenging. So I covet your prayers for insight, wisdom, and even inspiration for all of us, including those critiquing these lessons for me from Haiti.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Palaka church has been alone since yesterday \u2013 that is, the missionaries who had been working with them through the summer have now left their village to return to the States. The last e-mail I got from Verne & Denny said that although they had had several “hiccups” to all they had hoped to accomplish, they were doing a final comprehension check on the translation of Matthew, and hoping to finish the initial rough draft on Ephesians. Denny will be working on these, and the translation of Acts, as they continue ministering at the NTM Missionary Training Center in Missouri.<\/p>\n

PRAY with us:<\/p>\n

1- for language groups like the Palaka, the Glaro, the Loron – who have missionaries who need to translate Scriptures from a distance, because of unsafe conditions in the villages.<\/p>\n

2- for the the grade one Bible lessons for Haiti to get their final checks and printer ready in the next few weeks (we’re actually behind schedule now.)<\/p>\n

3- for our house in Alabama to sell, so we can move to Florida to work on the Firm Foundation Children’s School Curriculum project, before moving to Haiti next year, Lord willing.<\/p>\n

PRAISE God with us:<\/p>\n

1- For the missionaries to C\u00f4te d’Ivoire who are pressing on in long-term translation projects, even when it is unsafe to live with the people.<\/p>\n

2- For schools in Haiti who are asking for foundational Bible lessons in grades one through nine.<\/p>\n

3- For His enablement and sufficiency for each project He gives us to do.<\/p>\n

Until all languages can understand that salvation is through Jesus alone,<\/p>\n
