Training teachers for their new Bible curriculum.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

No, our house did not sell. But a lovely Christian lady from our church will be able to house-sit it for us while we are on our “2-year” assignment to Haiti. Praise the Lord! We are planning to move to Haiti in January 2013, Lord willing. (Yes, straight to Haiti, without stopping in Florida for several months, like we had been planning earlier.)<\/p>\n

Grade 1 teachers in Haiti with new Bible textbooks.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

My trip to Haiti last month went well. There were 40 first grade teachers and school coordinators who attended the workshop on how to teach the new Bible curriculum in their schools. Schools started late again this year in Haiti, and God also answered our prayers to release the new textbooks from customs earlier this month, so that they can still be distributed to the 330 Baptist Haiti Mission schools for this Fall. Thanks to many of you, I was able to buy 330 Creole Bibles to be distributed to each first grade teacher, to accompany their new textbooks.<\/p>\n

A Sunday School in Idaho asked if they could still contribute Bibles, so we are now collecting funds for another 330 Creole Bibles, this time for Grade Two teachers. I am doing a final revision of the Grade Two curriculum, which we trust will be able to be printed and delivered to Haiti by next school year.<\/p>\n

PRAY with us:<\/p>\n

– that the Grade Two Bible curriculum will be finished in the next couple months. It completes the Story of Redemption that was started in the Grade One curriculum.<\/p>\n

– that we’ll have wisdom in disposing of our household goods, and discernment in what to store, & what to take to Haiti when we move there in January.<\/p>\n

– that God will work out the remaining logistical situations to free us to move to Haiti – He is the One who knows best how to prepare us to go.<\/p>\n

PRAISE God with us:<\/p>\n

– that a lovely Christian lady is willing to help care for our house while we serve in Haiti.<\/p>\n

– for the excitement the Lord is giving us to move to Haiti to see foundational Bible teaching expanded for grades 3 – 6.<\/p>\n
