{"id":93,"date":"2011-03-09T13:06:25","date_gmt":"2011-03-09T17:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/?p=93"},"modified":"2011-03-10T10:08:37","modified_gmt":"2011-03-10T14:08:37","slug":"catching-up-with-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/2011\/03\/09\/catching-up-with-technology\/","title":{"rendered":"Catching up with Technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_95\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-95\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/files\/2011\/03\/DSCN1206.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-95\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/files\/2011\/03\/DSCN1206-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Most recent family photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/files\/2011\/03\/DSCN1206-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-holmgren\/files\/2011\/03\/DSCN1206.JPG 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-95\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Most recent family photo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Although we have had this blog for awhile it has mostly sat unused, mostly due to the fear that I didn&#8217;t know what to do.\u00a0 So I figured that it is time to &#8220;catch up&#8221; with technology&#8221;, overcome my fear of blogging, and keep you updated on us and the ministry the Lord has given us.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->With 5 children still living at home, life is very busy.\u00a0 Tim, of course, is at the office each day, working with the New Tribes Medical Plan.\u00a0 This Plan provides health and life insurance\u00a0for our NTM members.\u00a0 His day pretty much, is spent at the computer answering questions that our members have about the Medical Plan.\u00a0 If he isn&#8217;t on the computer, he is on the phone.\u00a0 We have definitely seen enough through his ministry there, to show us the need for missionaries to have medical insurance.\u00a0 <strong>PRAY <\/strong>that he can effectively explain things to people and minister to their needs in that way.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I, Teresa, have no one at home during the day\u00a0this year, as Jacob (now 6) \u00a0is attending our mission school.\u00a0 However I keep extremely busy.\u00a0 My days consistent of cleaning and cooking of course, but also thrown in the mix is substitute teaching at the kid&#8217;s school, teaching Sunday School and Awana, and\u00a0working with the women&#8217;s ministry at church.\u00a0 I have also found, having a bit more free of a schedule,\u00a0 that\u00a0there are\u00a0many people who need someone to minister to them.\u00a0 Lately this has been friends and fellow missionaries who have health issues.\u00a0 So I have been able to use this time to help to minister to their needs.\u00a0 <strong>PRAY<\/strong>\u00a0 that I will use my time wisely and find a balance between the needs I want to meet for others , the needs at church and the needs of my own family.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 The children are all doing well and I can add things about them later.\u00a0\u00a0But I have now taken the step to get this blog going and so I&#8217;m hoping to blog regularly now.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Teresa<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although we have had this blog for awhile it has mostly sat unused, mostly due to the fear that I didn&#8217;t know what to do.
