{"id":151,"date":"2012-12-09T08:44:58","date_gmt":"2012-12-09T13:44:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/?p=151"},"modified":"2012-12-09T08:44:58","modified_gmt":"2012-12-09T13:44:58","slug":"november-news-in-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/2012\/12\/09\/november-news-in-december\/","title":{"rendered":"November news (in December)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Faithful Friends,<\/p>\n<p>Seasons greetings from a tropical land!\u00a0 We hope your month is filled with sweet memories and most of all a heart of reflection on all that God has done through Immanuel- God with us.\u00a0 As we\u2019ve been working through advent with our girls we\u2019ve appreciated the personal challenge as we seek to explain \u201cChrist in us\u201d in a simple way.\u00a0 Such a profound reality full of so much depth.\u00a0 And yet can be simply believed and realized by children!\u00a0 We\u2019re also finding it a challenge to share the more secular traditions of the season that are just for fun, while also honing in a the very reason we celebrate and the One we owe our lives to this Christmas season.\u00a0 I know you face the same challenge whether young or old, as the \u201cworld\u201d around you pushes the secular side of things.\u00a0 But in the midst of it all we know we\u2019re blessed beyond measure and are forever marked by the One who gave up the riches and glory of heaven, to be born as a helpless, humble baby.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_152\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-152\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6625.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-152\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6625-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6625-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6625-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6625.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-152\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Flood waters covered the road up to my chest<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I personally was encouraged by thinking about the details of the first teaching as this is something we\u2019ve been preparing for for SO long.\u00a0 Keep praying with us that next spring or early summer the first sharing of the Gospel in this language will become a reality!\u00a0 Some big mountains have to be moved- mostly in the hearts of the people for that to come to fruition but we are rejoicing because we serve a God of miracles!!!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_153\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-153\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6902.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-153 \" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6902-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6902-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6902-500x375.jpg 500w, https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tim-ullum\/files\/2012\/12\/IMG_6902.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-153\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">team time with our visitors<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Our family traveled out with our visitors and then headed to Jakarta for Dina &amp;
