We just got back in the village a couple days ago.\u00a0 We enjoyed a week and a half of fellowship time with our larger missionary team here in the region we live in.\u00a0 There were around 25 families and lots of children that met together for a couple days of connecting, sharing how the ministry is going all over the regions, and encouraging one another.\u00a0 The girls loved the kids conference with singing, stories, and games.\u00a0 These are special times for our kids to connect with friends they often only see once or twice a year.<\/p>\n

Valentine Fun!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

We\u2019re hoping to get settled in for a big chunk of time, wanting to make some really good progress on language for me and translation\/curriculum development for Tim.\u00a0 I was able to meet with a language consultant while in town and get some direction for my last few months of final language study.\u00a0 In my flesh I can feel like it will just never come, BUT GOD.\u00a0 Trying to walk by faith and continue in faithfulness, trusting God to enable me in my weakness.\u00a0 Some days I have victory in this area and other days I get discouraged and feel frustrated.\u00a0 Thanks for your continued prayers!<\/p>\n

Lots of lovely children<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tim & I were able to steal away for almost 24 hours to celebrate an early anniversary before heading interior.\u00a0 It was a special time of reevaluating where we\u2019ve been and where God wants us to head in our marriage and parenting and ministry.\u00a0 We have found that if we don\u2019t carve out time to plan and pray together about living intentionally, we just keep rolling on with life and can lose perspective.\u00a0 We\u2019re thankful for an \u201cadopted\u201d grandparent missionary couple that has made a getaway possible several times over the past couple of years!<\/p>\n

Celebrating 12 years of marriage!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

In closing just a reminder from our conference time, God is more interested in our faithfulness than in our success.\u00a0 \u201cSuccess\u201d from our human perspective could look VERY different from what God calls \u201csuccess\u201d.\u00a0 Let\u2019s have our focus be upon the Living God and abiding in Him each day more than on how \u201csuccessful\u201d can become or appear to be.<\/p>\n
