This Sunday May 31 is a special day of prayer for unreached peoples around the world. Ethnos360 is a founding member of the Alliance for the Unreached. Here is a link to their website https:\/\/alliancefortheunreached.org\/<\/a> where you can find out more about praying for unreached peoples. There is a live web event at 3 pm Mountain time 5 pm Eastern time. You can registered for that at the above web site. The live event will give updates from around the world reporting on unreached peoples and inform us of how we can be praying for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a born again person and have read the NT you should know that Jesus has entrusted His earthly family with the “ministry of reconciliation.” That is a quote from 2 Cor 5:18 the full verse is like this, “all this is from God who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.” If the word reconciliation is nor familiar to you it simply means, healing a relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a good example of, “the ministry of reconciliation” in Moses. Even before Moses fled Egypt he was trying to restore relationships. If you remember Moses went out to see his relatives and he came upon an Egyptian abusing some Israelite men. Moses fought against the Egyptian and killed him. Stephen in Acts 7 recounted what Moses was thinking. Stephen says, “He (Moses) supposed that his brothers would understand that God was giving them salvation by his hand, but they did not understand.” That verse makes me laugh out loud, because I can so relate to Moses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course these Israelites will value my help, and understand my intentions, thought Moses. As you and I know, these men did not understand Moses, and in fact what Moses did was turned around and used against him. When on the following day these same Israelite men were quarreling with one another, Moses steps in with his good intentions. Their reaction to Moses’ “ministry of reconciliation” was flat out rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 40 years God finally does use Moses as a minister of reconciliation, not between one or two people but between a nation and their God. In a similar way God wants to use us! This comes out in 2 Cor 5 when Paul say, “we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” God is at work through us, making an appeal through us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just like Moses returned to Egypt full of fear and reservations, and then Moses told the message God gave him to tell. In the same way we have a message to tell. Although we have fears and reservations we must remember that God is at work through us. After Moses had done his thing everyone knew that it wasn’t Moses that saved Israel, it was Moses’ God. It won’t be any different for you or I. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
