Retro Post (04-2012): “Hepi Ista!!!!

March 17, 2017 by Tobi Magill

Hepi Ista!!!!
Happy Easter, everyone! My favorite holiday!!!

And it’s been a great one! Friday was a great day off followed by two busy but fun days of celebration of the fact that our God lives!!! Saturday, after cantata practice and having friends do my hair, I had a girls’ afternoon of baking and decorating Easter cookies. It got quite creative and it was fun to spend time with “just the girls”! A young neighbor of mine actually inspired the idea and came over with her mom and sister and the others to help out decorating and eating the cookies. The next morning we had a beautiful sunrise service praising Jesus and giving Him the glory for all that He accomplished for us! One man mentioned in his prayer that “we have no idea the extent of all that You accomplished on that day so long ago!” Wow! What a thought! I pray that we may learn the full extent of all that was accomplished on that day!

A finger-food breakfast (which means many sweets including our Easter cookies!!!) followed with plenty of time to sit and visit with everyone before moving on to our morning service. Our cantata did an medley of songs and narration telling the story of Jesus’s death and resurrection for our sins followed by communion. It was just a sweet time to be a part of.

Afterwards I snuck home to get the mashed potatoes ready for lunch and to shoot off an Easter email to everyone! The rest of the day was filled with time with friends and WAY too much food (which is truly an essential part of any celebrations! LOL!)!!!

So…now I’m wishing all of you a magnificent Easter! Hepi Ista!!!
