We’ll use this page to tell you a bit of our story…
After 10 years of marriage, we began attending Ganson Street Baptist Church in Jackson, Michigan where we trusted in Jesus as our Savior. We soon became involved in our church’s ministries. After taking our family on a mission trip to Honduras in 1999 and leading our youth group on a ten-day mission trip to Mexico in 2001, the Lord began opening our eyes to the vast unreached people groups in the world.
Bible School! During this time, friends from church excitedly shared all that they were learning in classes at Ethnos360 Bible Institute (EBI). After checking it out, we began taking “a few” classes in 1999. It did not take long for a “few” classes to become a major time investment in God’s Word.
Ethos360 Bible Institute is more than a Bible school; it is the first phase of training with Ethnos360 (founded in 1942 as New Tribes Mission). The Lord used our time at the Bible Institute to challenge us to become full-time missionaries.
After graduating in 2003, we remained in Jackson over the next six years. During this time, Sue was employed part-time by the school as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students. Todd taught a few classes on the Parables of Jesus, Christology and Foundations for Learning as an adjunct teacher. Todd quit his secular job in July 2009, and we headed to Missouri to attend Ethnos360 Training (ETC) to complete our training as missionaries.
ETC is Ethnos360’s second phase of training, designed to equip missionary candidates with culture and language acquisition skills needed for church planting in remote tribal locations all over the world. We graduated from ETC on May 19, 2010. We immediately began raising our financial support to serve as trainers at Ethnos360 Bible Institute. If you would like to learn more about where we are currently at on our finances, follow this link.
Our field of ministry… As new missionaries in our early 50s we began serving the Lord in January 2011 at Ethnos360 Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan! With the consolidation of our two Bible schools in 2020, we moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin to serve at the Bible School there.
Special note: Ethnos360 Bible Institute also offers an online Bible program, available to anyone in the world. EBI offers seven free online mini courses. We encourage you to take and enjoy the following free online mini courses (The Grand Narrative of Scripture, Christianity and Contemporary Culture, The Gospel of Mark, The Book of Revelation, The Book of Zechariah, Missions – The Unfinished Work, and The Book of Psalms).
We have loved serving as missionaries at EBI, training the next generation of church planters that will be sent to the still unreached parts of the world. Over the years we have seen the fruit of our labors with many new missionaries becoming church planters just as the Lord desired (Matt 9:36-38).
Our ministry responsibilities … Over the last 15 years, Todd has served as the Bible School’s Business Director. He has also served on the Leadership Team, the Administration Team, and as a teacher of God’s Word (his favorite). Sue has served as Todd’s administrative assistant as well as serving on the Ladies Care and Coordinating Team, Child Protection Team, and in childcare one morning per week. As of December 1, 2025, we will become retired missionaries with Ethnos360.
It has been a joy to have been able to serve our Savior Jesus at Ethnos360 Bible Institute. It has been a real privilege to be part of training more and more people to scatter all over the world sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. We know that we will see tribal people in heaven one day because these dear students have been obedient to God’s command to go and tell them about Jesus. Even though we will be retiring, we will remain engaged in God’s work. Todd will remain available to his replacement through the end of 2026.
About our family… We have been married since 1981. In May of 2025, we celebrated 44 years of marriage. We have three adult children, and their spouses, who we thank the Lord for each and every one of them every day.
