One of Tom’s favorite movies is Apollo 13. The movie draws him in because it is a true, epic space story. It is a story of dedicated men persevering to do the right thing. It is a story of hope and trust. At the climax of the movie, when the workers at mission control didn’t know whether the astronauts would make it, they turn to the Creator. Only God knew the outcome.
One of the most poignant scenes in the movie is the “Go for Launch” scene. As the flight crew buckles the astronauts into their seats on the rocket, Houston contacts each person on flight control to make sure that each area is “go” for launch. Getting the astronauts into space is a huge team effort where failure is not an option.
This scene reminds us of our ministry as directors of 360Care. We come alongside the missionary and make sure that the missionary and all the parts of their team are ready for them to go to their first ministry assignment. We make sure that there is good connection and communication between the missionary, their sending church, their field of service and Ethnos360, the sending organization.
God is using us to touch missionary endeavors around the world. Is God calling you to be involved in the process of launching missionaries around the world? Contact us and we will tell you how you can financially and prayerfully support our ministry.
