Our field chairman and I were invited to Canada this past week to share about the field of Mexico. We had a great visit up to Ethnos Canada’s cross-cultural training program, called Emanate. It was great to be able to share with the staff and students, alongside some of our other fields, like Paraguay, Southeast Africa, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. We had three sessions to share, and John, our field chairman, was able to challenge the students with the truth that through God all things are possible. In my presentation I shared a broad overview of the field of Mexico and it’s needs. We especially enjoyed the time we were able to spend with a couple heading down to serve here in Mexico with us, Ryan and Kirsten Kurvitz. We spent time with another family considering Mexico, and overall enjoyed everyone we were able to see and visit with. I was especially grateful to see a few other friends from the past- a couple that Beth & I attended Bible school with, a treasured friend of Beth & mine have serving in southeast Africa and a couple we served alongside in Papua New Guinea! It was a great visit and we were reminded that while there are many needs around the world, Christ is building His church! What a privilege we have in knowing Him, and serving alongside many other wonderful people as w grow in knowing Him together!
