{"id":2141,"date":"2010-06-30T17:52:34","date_gmt":"2010-07-01T00:52:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thatallmayknow.org\/?p=2141"},"modified":"2017-10-11T10:14:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-11T15:14:54","slug":"wonderful-weekend-wedding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tom-carlton\/2010\/06\/30\/wonderful-weekend-wedding\/","title":{"rendered":"Wonderful Weekend Wedding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tom-carlton\/files\/2010\/06\/weddingcolage2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2145\" title=\"weddingcolage2\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tom-carlton\/files\/2010\/06\/weddingcolage2-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This past weekend was one of the most wonderful and the most exhausting ones I can remember.\u00a0\u00a0It was my sister Chrissy\u2019s wedding to Donald Lamar Chubb III.\u00a0\u00a0Whether you like it or not-here is the \u201cblow by blow\u201d of it all. \ud83d\ude42 Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>In the middle of the week, wedding people began arriving at our house and things just got more fun by the minute!\u00a0\u00a0We managed to keep super busy dusting off more of the \u201cto do\u201d list for the wedding as well as having good fellowship.\u00a0\u00a0It was especially nice to spend more time with Don\u2019s family and realize even more how wonderful they are!\u00a0\u00a0We really do love them!<\/p>\n<p>So, Saturday flew by as I and many others ran around like crazy (and sweat like crazy too) to get everything set up and ready.\u00a0\u00a0I was happy to be able to do the flowers for the wedding and I think they were pretty cute! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tom-carlton\/files\/2010\/06\/weddingcolage1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2146\" title=\"weddingcolage1\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/tom-carlton\/files\/2010\/06\/weddingcolage1-300x214.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"214\" \/><\/a>If you couldn\u2019t be at this wonderful wedding, let me walk you through it:\u00a0\u00a0Out in a beautiful yard with some trees (by some\u00a0lovely woods) tables and chairs were set up with an aisle going through them.\u00a0\u00a0Under the biggest tree in the yard, there was a large platform with white ribbons hanging from the tree over it.\u00a0\u00a0Strung between the trees were white Christmas lights and in the trees hung round white paper lanterns.\u00a0\u00a0Topping all the tables were mason jars filled with mint and white and yellow flowers.\u00a0\u00a0There was a cookie for every guest and a bookmark with Don &amp; Chrissy\u2019s smiling faces on them.\u00a0\u00a0If guests were bored they could play scrabble with the vintage scrabble on each table.<\/p>\n<p>As for the ceremony, the brides maids entered in blue dresses holding white, yellow and green flowers &amp; the groomsmen in white shirts and blue bow ties, grey slacks and grey slip on sneakers.\u00a0\u00a0Don watched Chrissy walk toward him looking prettier than ever.\u00a0\u00a0The ceremony was short and sweet and the vows were deep and meaningful.\u00a0\u00a0Thirty minutes later they were announced as Mr. &amp; Mrs. Donald Chubb III and the party started!<\/p>\n<p>Between fun music and food, guests took turns getting their pictures taken in the guest photo booth, played games in the yard and enjoyed the fantastic dessert table and wedding cake!\u00a0\u00a0The bouquet and garter were tossed and Don and Chrissy had their first dance as husband and wife.\u00a0\u00a0At almost 10pm the happy couple ran out between rows of happy friends who waved sparklers at them.\u00a0\u00a0Away they drove in their big green truck and it was over.\u00a0\u00a0A whirl wind of joy and my sister was a Mrs!\u00a0\u00a0It was so great.<\/p>\n<p>There are so many things we thank God for in all the planning.\u00a0\u00a0He provided amazing weather, wonderful friends that helped out with everything from lending us things to referring a great photographer.\u00a0\u00a0Oh!\u00a0\u00a0And HELPING for hours to set it all up!\u00a0\u00a0I am convinced that God cares about the details-I think He really showed us this for the wedding!<\/p>\n<p>Most of all I thank the Lord for providing a wonderful brother in law.\u00a0\u00a0It is so encouraging to see my sister walk with the Lord and find a mate who desires to do the same.\u00a0\u00a0We love Chrissy and Don and pray that their future is as beautiful and God honoring as their wedding!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past weekend was one of the most wonderful and the most exhausting ones I can remember.\u00a0\u00a0It was my sister Chrissy\u2019s wedding to Donald Lamar Chubb III.\u00a0\u00a0Whether you like it or not-here is the \u201cblow by blow\u201d of it all. \ud83d\ude42 Enjoy!
