We REALLY wanted to be able to move to PNG with Aimee but with the time difference in our paperwork and just the facts of how visas were currently being approved we felt it was very unlikely that we could all get our visas at the same time. Nevertheless, we were praying for it and asked all of you to pray too!

After waiting about three weeks Tom had called the embassy to check on the progress of our visas. Amazingly, he was told that his and mine had been approved! Unfortunately they had not yet approved Jude’s! I will be totally honest and admit that I couldn’t imagine why they would not just approve our whole family together! Even though we were a bit anxious, we did praise God that at least things were moving along in the right direction. 😀 It is amazing how my impatience can make me blind to a blessing! God was doing something so awesome in the midst of my frustration.

Anyway. A few days after Tom had made the call to the embassy they called us back and said that ALL our visa’s had been approved and they were putting them in the mail that day! We were ECSTATIC!

Of course, I wasted no time and called Aimee to tell her our good news. Naturally Aimee was very happy but both of us couldn’t help but be a bit confused as to why hers had not been approved yet. After all, according to our “logic,” since her application had arrived before ours- shouldn’t hers be approved first? I suppose the only “logic” we need as followers of Christ is He is in control! Aimee and I had a good conversation, and then said good bye.

Ok- here’s where it gets really good… FIVE MINUTES after Aimee and I had hung up she called us back. She said the embassy had JUST called her, too, to tell her that HER visa had been approved! So there it was. All four of us, hearing word that our visas had been approved on the SAME day. WOWZAH!

Naturally we are praising God and are so thankful! Only HE could arrange such perfect timing. He is so good to us we can hardly believe it!

Ever since we got our good news things have been a whirl wind. We had a very big and difficult decision to make: whether to leave at our current support level. After pray and seeking wise counsel, we have decided to leave at our current percentage. Since we heard word about our visas, our support has increased 3% already!

It’s starting to sink in a lot more the fact that we will be moving soon. We are so thankful for technology which has allowed us to talk face to face with our friend Aimee often to make plans. It is SUCH a blessing to be moving with a friend that we love and trust. We view her as a real provision from the Lord as we make this huge life transition together.

Being the wordy one that I am, I am dying to tell you how we got our visas! 🙂 The way God worked it all out was just so marvelous- it MUST be shared.
