Wow. Last year on new years day we were speculating with our partner Aimee where we would be in one year and she had thrown out the idea that MAYBE we would be in our final home in a village somewhere as part of a church planting team. At the time it seemed like that could not be possible and now-here we are! It is amazing how quickly -in hindsight- God put us where he wanted us!

Since coming back to PNG we have been settling into our home and completing a seemingly endless list of projects needed for the house. Not everything is done yet but we are happy with how far the place has come- and just in time for Christmas decorations! I have enjoyed putting up our random collection of Christmas decorations for the first time in this house. It may surprise you to know that we actually brought a very small amount of decorations with us to PNG. I had packed a shoe box of small ornaments and a nativity scene, thats all! Now we have a lot of stuff! Other missionaries have passed on their decorations to us and I have gratefully accepted! When it’s blazing hot and we are in a jungle I feel like I need a lot of decorations to compensate! 😀

This blog is our invitation to you to come over and enjoy our household of tropical merriment. I wish you could come over in reality, but this will have to be the second best thing.

Happy holidays to you and to yours! May you be reminded this Christmas what a privilege it is to know the truth of our Lord & Savior who was born on that night over two thousand years ago in Bethlehem. May we all remember to pray diligently for the many who have never met Jesus Christ that they would be given an opportunity to hear and respond to the grace of God this coming year!

A merry wreath on our front door to welcome you inside.

Some fake “icicles” in a vase, thankfully the wire going up our wall is a merry red and green. 🙂

In our kitchen we have a small tree sporting some sand dollar ornaments from the ocean!
