One of the colored ornaments hanging on our classroom door says, \u201cThere would be no Christmas if there was no Easter.\u201d Others proclaim similar sentiments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe greatest Christmas gift ever given wasn\u2019t placed under a tree, He was placed on the tree. His name is Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBorn to die that man might live. Came to earth new life to give.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrate Christ\u2019s birth because we know of his life and death, and because we are the benefactors of his resurrection. This is the whole package. This is our good news of great joy. This is Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor God did not send His Son into\nthe world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, this Christmas, as we\nexperience different customs and foods here in Mexico, we thank God that\nregardless of location, temperature, traditions, or language, our reason for\ncelebrating has not changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And we thank God that this year the Tepehuan believers can read the Christmas story themselves form their recently printed and dedicated New Testaments. Hear more about this exciting event<\/a>, shared by a former student at the school where Tom works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
