Looking back at the last eight years and I realized that we haven’t had two “holiday seasons” the same.
Each year looks different around here when it comes to the “traditional” holiday seasons.
November held a visit from Torre’s mom and us hosting Thanksgiving. We had a family from the Guest House over to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal with us. We prolonged the celebration by including a family from town that we’ve gotten to know this past year for dessert in the evening. It was a full house of 19 and we absolutely loved it!
December was quite warm and we had a few good wind storms come through. While my mom and dad were here for Christmas one wind storm was so strong that it blew the gate to the Guest House off the rolling tracks and some locks on the storage sheds were broken from the strong winds.
The Guest House saw an increase in missionaries coming through traveling ‘to and from’ for the holidays. One couple is moving down to Mexico to teach math and sewing for the second half of the year at the school for missionary children. We were able to have a game night with them during their stay at the Guest House.
As we begin a new month and season we look forward to who God has coming through and how we can best be a blessing to them.
