Dear Friends, November 2010
Isaiah 40:31 (King James Version) But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Hello from the Recalde family. We hope this letter finds you rejoicing in the many blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s hard to believe that it is almost Christmas time again already! What a busy and exciting year this has been! Thank you so much for your part in it and for your help and Prayers! Thank you for being our co-workers! We are enjoying the ministry that God has given to us for this next year here at the NTM HOMES in Sanford, Florida. Our desire is to serve Him anyplace that He chooses to use us.
New Tribes Mission was established in 1942. The decision was made in 1979 to start a retirement center to meet the retirement needs of those early year members, many of whom had few options for retirement. It is our privilege at this time to serve these New Tribes Mission retirees who have all been involved in contacting tribal groups, learning their language, and translating God’s Word into the tribal language. NTM Homes provides three distinct levels of care for retired missionaries. (1) Independent living-One and two bedroom duplex apartments are provided for retired missionaries who can manage their own care. (2) Latham Center-for retired missionaries who are no longer able to manage living in the larger duplex apartments. (3) Assisted Living Facility-is a midpoint on the health care spectrum between independent living and nursing home care. The purpose is to help missionaries stay as independent as possible.
Samuel keeps busy working on maintenance and also working on the construction of a new Chapel/All purpose building. Tracy has been working in several areas including receptionist, housekeeping for some of our retirees and has also taken several medical classes such as, CPR, AED and Adult First Aid etc. in order to be able to help more with caring for our residents here.
News Flash! On November 14, 2010, our son, Nathan turned thirteen years old and was baptized on his birthday at the Central Baptist Church here in Florida! 3 John 1:4 (King James Version) I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Please continue to Pray for our Tribal brothers and sisters back in Paraguay, that they will continue to rely on God alone and to faithfully teach God’s Word to their own People in our absence.
Imagine… standing before the throne of God, worshiping with believers from every tribe, tongue and nation… Manjui…Angaite…Lengua…Ache…Tavytera…Ayoreo…Each sounding his praises in their own unique way. Before that can happen, 3000 tribes still need to hear the Gospel. 150 million men, women and children still have no access to His Truth. We’ve got a lot to do – let’s get it done together! ~ New Tribes Mission
Thank you very much for your help and Prayers!
In Christ’s Service, Samuel, Tracy and Family
