Dear Praying Friends,
As most of you know, we shipped our van to Paraguay from the U.S.A. back in January and we wanted to give you an update on it:
Our van arrived in May, but it turned out to be a lot more complicated and costly than we had anticipated to get it out of customs.
We asked for prayer and YOU PRAYED!
We praise our Lord that we were finally able to get the van released from customs after more than a month.
God worked a miracle and here is how it happened: Samuel was at the Paraguayan customs offices for about the 20th time trying to get it out, but the officials just kept stalling and asking for more money.
That was when he looked up and saw the Governor of Amambay standing in the doorway. (Our youngest daughter happened to be classmates and best friends with his son when we lived in that area.) When the Governor saw Samuel, he came right over and asked what he was doing there. Samuel told him the situation with our van and Mr. Ramirez turned around and started giving orders. Things immediately started happening and our van was released that very afternoon.
Was it a coincidence that Mr. Ramirez happened to be in THAT particular place at THAT particular time so far from his home? (Amambay is located in the north part of the Oriental Region of Paraguay approximately a five hour drive from Asuncion and is where we lived and worked for many years.)
We know that it was not a coincidence! We serve an amazing and awesome God!!
THANK YOU very much for your help and prayers!
Serving Christ in Paraguay,
Samuel, Tracy & family
