What we’ve been doing…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0The last two months have seen steady progress on the remote fuel pump project.\u00a0 It went into production last week, the circuit boards arrived from the prototyping shop and the rest of the assembly is being done here.\u00a0 The new shipping date is hopefully early March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January Travis also spent a good amount of time heading up the 100hr inspection on the Cessna 206 used here for training.\u00a0 Then this month we had a Spiritual Emphasis week. Every morning we started with teaching from the Bible on godly character, followed by updates from the field.\u00a0 The Aviation Program managers from all 4 countries as well as the staff on loan to Moody Aviation met here to participate in the meetings and have some additional meetings of their own.\u00a0 It was such an encouraging time being refreshed from God\u2019s word and hearing about how God is using aviation around the world to help spread the good news of the gospel.\u00a0 During that time we were able to sit down and talk with the leaders from the field we will be serving in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where we’re going…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve heard us speak in the past, we usually say things like, \u201cEthnos360 Aviation has operations in 4 countries and we are most likely going to Papua New Guinea,\u201d or \u201cwe\u2019re 95% sure we\u2019re going to Papua New Guinea.\u201d\u00a0 Now its official, we\u2019re assigned to Papua New Guinea!\u00a0 The leadership team here has talked to the leadership team in PNG and we have begun the paperwork necessary to make that transition. We\u2019re also working on getting passports for each of the kids. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find Australia on a globe and then move your finger North and you will run right into Papua New Guinea.\u00a0 There are over 800 different languages spoken in PNG.\u00a0 Currently about 200 of those languages still do not have a gospel witness among them.\u00a0 Ethnos360 has ministered among 81 language groups in PNG.\u00a0 Right now there are active works in 44 people groups.\u00a0 10 of those works are accessed by road and\/or boat, 16 are supported by the Kodiak airplane and another 18 are supported by the R66 helicopter. \u00a0The Kodiak is also used to do medical evacuations from PNG to Australia. When we’re going there…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re hoping to leave for Papua New Guinea in August of this year.  That is contingent on completing our paperwork and getting visas, as well as meeting our targeted support level.  We\u2019re required to have 75% of our support before we buy our plane tickets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
