We had the privilege to speak at both of the churches where Becky grew up and were able to meet with staff from a third church in the area. It was really encouraging to be able to tell others about our plans to support church planters in Papua New Guinea through aviation. We also got to spend some quality time visiting with Becky’s family. The kids had a blast! There are two things we are required to have before we can purchase our plane tickets: 75% of our monthly support goal pledged and work permits and entry permits into the country. For me (Becky) trusting God for finances has usually come easy, I don’t know why, that’s just how I’m wired. But I’ve realized recently that I don’t apply that same level of trust to other areas.

One of the things required by PNG to get your work permit is a certified copy of all your diplomas, including high school. I’ll spare you the details, but trying to locate Travis’s high school diploma has been a bit of an ordeal. I’ve been feeling stressed that this missing diploma might be the thing that sets us back several months in our arrival to the field, but God has reminded me that He can provide for our finances AND He knows where Travis’s diploma is. He can make our paperwork be approved faster than normal AND He can have a purpose for us being delayed a few months. I think we are all, always, learning how not to worry.

Luke 12:22-26

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Praises and Prayer Requests

Praise that training continues to go well!

Thankful for good visits with friends, family and churches

Pray for the missing diploma to be found!

Pray that we will trust God for all our needs

Ministry Support Update:

We are currently at 70% of our targeted support level (woohoo!) If you are led to partner with us, we’d love to have you join our team. Email for more information Travis_Lesicka@ntm.org. Contributions can be sent to Ethnos360 at: Ethnos360, 312 West First Street, Sanford, FL 32771 (please enclose a note stating for “Travis and Becky Lesicka”).
