{"id":279,"date":"2023-12-25T09:39:17","date_gmt":"2023-12-25T17:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/travis-lesicka\/?p=279"},"modified":"2023-12-25T09:39:19","modified_gmt":"2023-12-25T17:39:19","slug":"merry-christmas-from-idaho","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/travis-lesicka\/2023\/12\/merry-christmas-from-idaho\/","title":{"rendered":"Merry Christmas from Idaho"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">(Next newsletter from Papua New Guinea!)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>John 1:14<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">It\u2019s the season of the year where we remember and celebrate Jesus coming to live among us, as the Word of God, to bring us the good news that he would pay the punishment for our sins so that we don\u2019t have to.\n\nI once heard someone say, \u201cIf you have the Bible in your language, it\u2019s because someone brought it to you.\u201d  Having had the Bible in English for 500 years, we often forget that someone did indeed \u2018bring\u2019 it to us, and it cost him his life (look up William Tyndale for more of that story).  \n\nEven today, in 2023, there are still people in the world that have not heard the good news in their own language.
