It\u2019s the season of the year where we remember and celebrate Jesus coming to live among us, as the Word of God, to bring us the good news that he would pay the punishment for our sins so that we don\u2019t have to.\n\nI once heard someone say, \u201cIf you have the Bible in your language, it\u2019s because someone brought it to you.\u201d  Having had the Bible in English for 500 years, we often forget that someone did indeed \u2018bring\u2019 it to us, and it cost him his life (look up William Tyndale for more of that story).  \n\nEven today, in 2023, there are still people in the world that have not heard the good news in their own language.  And though we will not be the ones doing any translation, we are excited to finally be leaving for Papua New Guinea in just over a week, so that we can support the missionaries who are bringing the good news into these places.  \n<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

We are keeping our phone numbers!\u00a0 <\/strong>Through the miracles of modern technology and Google voice.\u00a0 We are able to keep our old phone numbers and use them whenever we have WiFi signal.\u00a0 This means you can call or text us at our old US numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What time is it anyway?<\/strong>  We will be in the PGT Time Zone<\/strong>.  It\u2019s close to the equator so they don\u2019t observe daylights savings time.  That means in the winter we will be 18hrs<\/em> ahead of Pacific Time (15 hrs ahead of Eastern time), and in the summer we will be 17hrs<\/em> ahead of PT (14hrs ahead of ET.)  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
