Our reason for the move was to be closer to the people we are desiring to reach with the hope of Jesus Christ. \u00a0Sadly, we have seen little tangible progress towards our goal of getting the\u00a0<strong>official permission\u00a0<\/strong>needed to be allowed to live and work amongst those people groups. \u00a0However, we\u00a0<em>are\u00a0<\/em>seeing progress on another goal which we have had since our missionary training days back in Canada. \u00a0As an organization, we want to\u00a0<strong>find the \u201c<\/strong><em><strong>Edge of the Church<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0in these regions of the world and then\u00a0<strong>help the Church \u201c<\/strong><em><strong>Expand the reach of the Gospel<\/strong><\/em>\u201d. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u00a0 Sometimes this goal can be hard to attain because the \u201c<em>Edge<\/em>\u201d is often challenging to find and can be a bit of a messy situation. \u00a0By \u201c<em>Edge of the Church<\/em>\u201d we mean: wherever the furthest group of believers is in any given area. \u00a0Honestly, it\u2019s easier to just skip over the \u201c<em>Edge<\/em>\u201d and start fresh in an area that doesn\u2019t have the Church at all. \u00a0However, that which is easier at first is often\u00a0not\u00a0what is best in the long run. \u00a0So, we are finding the \u201c<em>Edge<\/em>\u201d in this town, (the biggest town on the island) and are trying to get to know and invest in it. \u00a0We don\u2019t know how it will play out or if it will be \u2018successful\u2019 from our human perspective, but it seems to be what God is giving us as our current task. Meanwhile, we also work towards Step 2: \u201c<em>Expanding the Edge of the Church<\/em>\u201d by His grace and power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Philippians 2:13 &#8211; <em>For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 The truth is, we don\u2019t know what God has in mind here, but we do know that He has\u00a0something\u00a0planned. \u00a0So, we will continue to invest in the body of believers that is already here in town, and also work to develop relationships with local officials and see how God might use all of it! \u00a0At the same time, we are continuing our surveys and visits to different villages and kings on this island to see if God may open something up. \u00a0Either way we hope and pray that the \u201c<em>Edge of the Church<\/em>\u201d and the \u201c<em>Reach of the Gospel<\/em>\u201d expands beyond where it currently stands. \u00a0This is God\u2019s work and it must be done by His power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0  As a team we have plans to revisit some of the places that haven\u2019t worked out in the past, as well as plans to check on some new areas. \u00a0Please pray for clear direction in these efforts as well as unity about our strategy. \u00a0We are praying that God would intervene and change the mind of one king in particular (he is the king over the territory of the \u201cL\u201d village). \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery odd health crash over the past couple months; primarily dealing with extreme fatigue. &nbsp;It has been challenging for all members of the family, so we have been thankful our schedule has allowed for some additional rest in the midst of it. &nbsp;Lately he has seen some improvement and seems to be coming out of it for which we are very grateful. &nbsp;His ACL is still healing as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Allegra\u2019s hair fallout has still been an issue. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211; Our coworkers are all back to full health after their run in with Dengue Fever! &nbsp;Woohoo!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you for your prayers in these areas!<\/p>\n\n\n<div
