Thank you for your prayers: God answered! The alert level for our area has been lowered to level 2, which means we can now start face-to-face classes! It has been quite a whirlwind at school as we get ready to implement all the protocols we need to implement in order for this to happen. Walter has been very busy along with the division principals and teachers. It feels like unchartered territory as teachers will have to do blended teaching: teaching face-to-face with half the students while the other half is online. We will have 2 cohorts, so only half the students are at school Mondays and Wednesdays, and the other half come Tuesdays and Thursdays, while all learning will be virtual on Fridays.
This Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 7 & 8), we start orientation for the parents and students so they will be aware of the new protocols and what is expected of them. Please be in prayer for us as we work to keep our campus and people safe. There is a lot of anxiety as well as joyful anticipation with the start of face-to-face classes. We have been anticipating this for a long time! God is definitely at work!
Thanks for praying,
Walt and Cheryl Spicer
