Time is flying by! First quarter is history, and Thanksgiving is coming quickly. We are thankful for how God continues to strengthen us for the ministry He has called us to.
The summer went well with all of its projects, and the parking lot was completed. We received so much rain, they had to reinforce the retaining wall, but it looks great now. We replaced half of the roof of the high school, and we plan on doing the remaining in January 2026. The PWD projects look great and are a blessing, and we have 560 students enrolled at FA!
God didn’t send us another math teacher or another nurse. There is another nurse working with Cheryl this semester, so Cheryl only has to work by herself on two days and can take one day off to work at home. The other staff nurse plans to return to work in January. God gives Walter the strength to teach Math 7, and he finds it a joy to be in the classroom. Please pray that God will provide a replacement for second semester as his administrative jobs will become busier then.

Wade and Abby were able to sell their house before they came to the Philippines. We thoroughly love Abby and Wade living with us. It is a joy to see their little daughter, Ellie, every day. Plus, we get to babysit her when they go on a date or need to run an errand.
The biggest news is that our Head of School will be resigning at the end of the school year, and the Elementary Principal and High School Principal will not be returning as administrators. Our Middle School Principal is on Home Assignment and will return after Christmas, but instead of returning to the middle school, she will learn the role of the Elementary Principal. The interim Middle School Principal will stay as the Middle School Principal, but we are praying for a new High School Principal and a new Head of School. Please be in prayer for those positions and the impact they will have on us. I am currently the Deputy Head of School, who is chosen by the Head of School, as I work very closely with him. What role will I have next year? I am not sure, but we are currently scheduled for our six-month home assignment in July 2026. We are open to tweaking that if we are needed at Faith Academy. Please be in prayer as we seek God’s will for FA and our roles.
Walter volunteered to lead a small group of high school boys once a week. The boys chose to study the Book of Hosea in the first semester. Pray the group will continue to bond well, dig into the Book of Hosea, and uplift one another in prayer.
Continue to pray for the girls in the Butterfly Home. The new family and staff that have taken over have had some good changes, but change is always hard on everyone. We have been able to do some activities with the girls, but not as freely or as frequently as before.
Lastly, we want to thank you for faithfully praying for us!
Walter and Cheryl Spicer
