Transitions in 2026

Thank you for praying for us! We are thankful that God provided Faith Academy (FA) with a new head of school. It is one of our current administrators. The plan is for her to start in one year, as she has a little one still at home. Our board chairman will act as interim head of school for this coming school year. Secondly, we are also thankful that our current HR Administrator will be the interim high school principal until we find a long-term one. So pray for all of the transitions in the next two years.

Please pray for strength and wisdom as we finish this year and plan for our six-month home assignment, starting at the end of June. Pray that we can have our jobs clearly laid out for those who will fill in for us. Also, pray for wisdom about what to do with our house and van in the Philippines while we are gone. We have asked our son-in-law to purchase a car for us in the US, so please pray that it happens soon and that it will be a great car for us. We will criss-cross the US in our six months back home.

We are so thankful that Wade, Abby, and Ellie lived with us this past year, but the house is so quiet now. Pray for us as we transition to an empty house. We are thankful that Abby and Ellie made it safely to the US and are settling in. Pray for Wade as he flies this weekend. Pray for a safe delivery of their baby boy at the end of May, and lastly, pray for wisdom for their future. They loved their ministry at FA and did a fabulous job, but they are seeking God’s will for their future.

Continue to pray for the girls at the Butterfly Home. Praise for the girls who graduated from grade 6, grade 10, and grade 12. (Their system is slightly different here.) It was fun to celebrate their accomplishments. Now that the local schools are finished, some of the girls might be integrated back into their families, which is difficult, often with an aunt or uncle. Transitions are hard; pray that we can be an encouragement to them. 

We are thankful for our six-month home assignment, and already have some fun family activities planned. Pray that we will use our time well, as our time will go by quickly. We hope to see everyone we didn’t see during our last home assignment.
